The Role
We are seeking a Client Success Manager to take ownership of key client relationships across varied sectors,including manufacturing, retail, logistics, finance, and public sector, ensuring successful delivery, retention and commercial growth.
You will act as the primary point of contact for contract delivery, responsible for managing multi-stakeholder relationships, ensuring milestones are met, and identifying opportunities to expand value and impact.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 3-5 years’ experience in account management, client success or programme delivery within a SaaS, sustainability or public sector delivery environment. The ideal candidate combines excellent relationship and project management skills with strong commercial aptitude and a genuine passion for climate impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Retention, Growth and Commercial Delivery
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in the public and private sectors, creating client advocates and ambassadors.
- Deliver measurable outcomes that support renewal and expansion of existing contracts.
- Identify and convert opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and programme extension, presenting strong business cases and commercial proposals.
- Track and report on portfolio performance, highlighting risks, opportunities and revenue forecasts.
- Support proposal development and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with both client objectives and company strategy.
2. Account and Programme Management
- Serve as the primary contact for key programme clients, ensuring contractual commitments are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Lead client onboarding, implementation and training processes, working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Maintain oversight of project plans, reporting schedules and programme outcomes.
- Monitor client engagement and platform usage to drive adoption and demonstrate value.
- Coordinate with technical, product and delivery teams to resolve issues and optimise client experience.
3. Market and Client Insight
- Identify current and future client requirements and translate them into actionable product and strategy insights Collaborate with internal data and product teams to enhance carbon accounting algorithms and usability based on client feedback.
- Help position Climate Essentials as a thought leader through identifying, organising, and participating in industry events, webinars, and collaborative partnerships.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of climate policy, public sector procurement, and sustainability reporting frameworks.
4. Client Engagement and Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across sustainability, procurement, and programme management functions.
- Lead progress reviews and strategy meetings to demonstrate impact and ROI.
- Represent Climate Essentials at external meetings and industry forums.
- Develop compelling client communications, case studies and success stories that showcase tangible results and strengthen partnerships.
5. Collaboration and Internal Alignment
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and service delivery.
- Contribute to internal process improvement to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Share client insights to shape future product features, communications and go-to-market strategy.
About You
You’ll be an excellent fit if you:
- Have 3-5 years’ experience in account management, client success, or programme delivery.
- Educated to Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required with a preference in an environmental field.
- Experience in sustainability, carbon, or related SaaS/technology-enabled services is desirable, ideally managing SaaS or data-driven service contracts is desirable.
- Bring strong commercial aptitude and the confidence to identify, articulate and secure growth opportunities.
- Are adept at managing multiple accounts with competing priorities, delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to engage confidently with senior public sector officials and technical teams alike.
- Are tech and data-literate and comfortable using insights to demonstrate impact and inform decisions.
- Confidence in maximising the functionality of CRM tools - Hubspot is desirable.
- Are a self-motivated, curious, fast learner, organised and proactive individual, with a collaborative working style.
- Are passionate about driving decarbonisation and helping organisations take meaningful climate action.
